2013 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage has been around for quite some time - longer even than you might think. Its the first time around the block came in 1977, when Aston Martin put the V8 engine from its "lounge" (which is a sedan to us Americans) and place it in vague muscle-car looks V8 Vantage (there are more than a hint Ford Mustang there). The Vantage was the engine several upgrades and body had aerodynamic additions to the front and rear spoilers. In the end, a top speed of 170 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds - very fast. It was popular enough to Aston Martin V8 Vantage continued in this form until 1989.

Next Aston Vantage bear emblem was an oddball with a two-door forward from 1992 to 1995. This time it had a larger engine with a top speed of 186 mph and a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds. From 1999 to 2003, the DB7 Vantage moniker, along with the first V12 engine in the Aston Martin lineup.
In 2005, the modern V8 Vantage unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show with its clearly Aston Martin design.Engine
The brand new engine of the modern V8 Vantage tested in extreme heat in Dubai and in the extreme cold in Sweden. In the tradition of most Aston Martins in history, hand-built engine mounted on the front with the weight behind the front axle. In 2008 the engine was upgraded from 4.3 to 4.7 liters, with increased power and performance to boot.Design
The design of the V8 Vantage as both coupe and roadster are unique and stylish whilst stuck in the brand tradition. The long hood begins at old school dented-oval grille and sweeping up over the two-seater cabin to the short rear deck. It is only 14 meters long, making it the smallest Aston in the lineup (as long as you do not count the ugly duckling Cygnet).
Interior
When the 2008 do-over came around, did away with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage traditional key benefit of Emotion Control Unit, or ECU, as they call it. This is a heavy fob with a crystal end of the driver connects to a slot in the center console to star the car. Necessary? No. Cool? Oh, yes.
The interior, always luxurious and wrapped in leather and full-grain wood got some other technical upgrades, like a new navigation system and iPod integration.Specifications
